Give to Mengen projects
New Tribes mission is a faith mission; that means that families like ourselves trust God for our regular monthly income. So we don't get paid a salary but partner financially with individuals and churches in order to support our family and the Mengen church planting work.
Below you will find a list of ongoing projects to help tailor your giving to an area you are passionate about.

House building and solar
We live with the Mengen people in remote areas of the jungle. We have to maintain our home with solar electric, clean water etc. Our biggest need right now is to replace our batteries. This is necessary to help us run an office which provides training, discipleship, computer literacy and much more.

Bible translation
Bible translation is of vital importance. To be able to read in your heart language and have the word of God in your hand as your source and authority cannot be valued.
Currently we have around 90% of the Mengen New Testament completed. Our team hopes to complete this work in the next few years and present the New Testament printed and bound to the Mengen people. Your donations will go directly to the proofing, printing, binding and presentation of the Mengen New testament. Literacy
Literacy is an essential to church planting. As missionaries we do more than translate and teach the Bible. We train people to study the bible for themselves. But without being able to read and write, how can they?

Curriculum development and
leadership training
We are hoping we can work ourselves out of a job by growing our team. We want to continue to train and disciple bible teachers, literacy teachers and church leadership. To do this we need to provide computer literacy, bible study material (in Mengen), bible lessons and leadership training.
